Annual Conference of Shanghai Venture Capital Association

 

    The Annual Conference of Shanghai Venture Capital Association was hold in Shanghai Everbright Int'l Hotel on 25 th Jan, 2008. There were almost 120 delegates attended this conference. The chairman of our association, Mr. Hua Yuda &vice chairman, Wang Pingao, Dai Yanling, Xin Chunhua, Li Guangxin and Chief secretary, Mr. Xu Lin & vice secretary, Lin Jiong, Shen Jianzhong, Zhu Chuang, Tong Yuenong, Chen Aiguo etc. joined this conference. In addition, vice director of MinHang district, Mr. Cai Xiaoqing and leaders of both Economic Adjustment Department of Development & Reform Commission Shanghai Municipal People' Government and Financial Department of Science & Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality were invited to attend the conference.

    Mr. Hua Yuda, the chairman of association took charge of whole conference. Mr. Xu Lin, the chief secretary of association gave a report about ‘working summary of 2007 and working plans of 2008' to every delegate. Mr. Hua showed his good evaluation to those works. During the conference, some delegates gave their own opinions to venture capital industry or associations. Some delegates said venture capital companies in China should pay more attention to the future development of one project instead of the money return. Others pointed venture capital association was a good bridge and platform between companies and governments. The activities of association supplied chances to communication, study and cooperation for each other. All delegates expressed their good wishes to association in 2008.

    Mr. Cai Xiaoqing, the vice district manager of MinHang district thanked the invitation of association. He introduced the development of MinHang district including the education, position, environment and related industries. He encouraged people developing in Minhang district. Meanwhile, he said: venture capital was the “roll booster” of our market, the capital market in 2008 would be more active. He hoped some cooperation activities between Minhang district government and association in 2008.

    Finally, Mr. Hua said: innovation was now the drive power of economic development. A new developing model “Innovation+Venture Capital+Capital Market” became the direction of economy market. Today's market should establish “multi-layers, diversification” financing system to solve some problems such as RMB overmuch, finance channel etc. Association, one hand, enhanced the communication to members; other hand, built good channel to related government. Let us work together to build the brand of association.
