CHINA OFFICE IN SHANGHAI VISIT OUR ASSOCIATION

 

    William Hillis who is the Program Director of State of Washington Development China Office in Shanghai went with the Commercial Assistant, Ms. Jessie Qian and President of Red Pagoda Concepts LLC, Mr. Andrew Mok visited our Association on Jan. 17 th . The chairman of our Association, Mr. Hua Yuda and chief secretary, Mr. Xu Lin together with vice-secretary, Ms. Lin Huijuan gave an ardor reception to them.

    In the meeting, Mr. Hua introduced the basic history of Shanghai venture capital industry. He pointed, with the development of economy of china, more and more foreign investment fund would flow into China , meanwhile, many Chinese venture capital companies or organizations would pay more attention to foreign market. It was a good thing for not only China but America as well. In the past years, China 's economy development depended on both energy and materials consumption. Nowadays, new development models included high technologies were welcomed by Chinese government and companies. New development models need more funds to establish, thus more investment chances would be gave. Two countries could have depth cooperation in Science & Technology and Biology & Medicine industries etc. It was the development tendency.

    William Hillis expressed his delight for this significance meeting. State of Washington attracts famous companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks and so on. Whether the IT technology field or life energy aspects, State of Washington has lots of resources. With the development of china, cooperation fields will be enlarged.

    Finally, Mr. Hua said, there were two ways for collaboration. One was through the investment institutions like Red Pagoda Concepts LLC. Those organizations of two countries exchange experience and ideas. Another one was mutual visit. Our Association was able to visit State of Washington possibly or Venture capital companies' delegates and related institutions of State of Washington can be organized by Office to visit us.

    The whole meeting was finished under a pleasure atmosphere.
